Since its incorporation, Systems Power Engineering has developed into a highly successful company maintaining and testing switchgear and transformers installation throughout the UK, both on-shore and off-shore. Their client list includes companies in the petrochemical, power, steel, water and gas industries as well as Airport Authorities and Associated British Ports.

We manufacture our own range of ASTA Certified to IEC 60056 truck mounted Retrofit Vacuum Circuit Breakers that directly replace existing truck mounted Oil Circuit Breakers.

The company believes in keeping up with the latest technology and this allows them to design both for the general market and custom made packages to suit the specific requirements of individual clients.

Their extensive written procedures commit them to a policy of ensuring that their work fully conforms to ISO 9000 standard.

Systems Power Engineering offers an ever expanding range of services which now include:

MANUFACTURING

  • 12 KV 25 KA Vacuum circuit breakers to retrofit oil circuit breakers

  • 12 KV 25 KA “Solution” switchboards

  • 12 KV 25 KA “Solution” panels that can directly extend (without the need for an adaptor chamber) any 11 KV switchboard with single or double busbars air or compound insulated

  • 12 KV 25 KA Busbar adaptor chambers to allow the extension of 11 KV switchboards with Hawker Siddeley Switchgear “Eclipse” panels

  • 11,000 Volt Busbar Adaptor Chambers to allow the extension of existing switchgear with new switchgear.

SERVICE

  • Maintenance / testing of all makes of switchgear, transformers and battery/charger units.

  • Supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of both new and refurbished switchgear and transformers.

  • Turnkey projects including complete substation design, HV & LV switchgear, and transformers, main and multicore cables, earth bed systems and tripping/closing battery systems..

  • Extension panels for existing 11KV switchboards.

  • Supply, installation termination, glanding and testing of HV & LV cablework.

DESIGN

  • Relay grading and protection analysis using CAD / SHORTEX systems.
  • Complete substation design.

SPARES

Systems Power Engineering Limited is able to supply spare parts and modification equipment to most makes of 33kV / 11kV and 415 Volt switchgear. They offer the spares at considerably lower prices than those of the original manufacturer and delivery times are also significantly lower.
