years, offering the expertise to provide the product you need,
whether in aquaculture, defence, sports or industrial netting
applications or processing of carpet yarns.
New net
manufacturing is complemented by their net maintenance unit and
workboat support service to the aquaculture industry.
Knox Fibres is a leading commission processor of BCF nylon and
polypropylene yarns for the carpet industry, working in
partnership with major UK and international blue-chip companies.
CAMOUFLAGE NETTING
Knox has been making camouflage nets since WW1. Their
technology has evolved from those early camouflage nets required
to fool only the human eye to systems which deceive the most
sophisticated equipment.
The art of camouflage lies in giving the target the same
brightness values, shades and infra-red reflective values as its
environment. It is as important to deceive the human eye as
surveillance monitors.
Knox camouflage nets are manufactured to your specification for
deployment in specific terrains: woodland, desert or arctic.
Camouflage nets can be supplied in any size and are easily
joined together to cover large areas. Lightweight synthetic
materials are utilised in manufacture, ensuring ease of handling
and transport.
The use of thermal sheets in conjunction with nets will extend
the protection into the far infra-red region of the spectrum.
The shape of the equipment being camouflaged can be distorted
using aluminium or glass reinforced plastic poles to break up
straight lines. These can be supplied in various sizes.
NOT ONLY FOR MILITARY USE
Flame retarded camouflage nets can be custom-made for nightclub use, film
settings and
theatrical backdrops. Ask us for details.

MARINE SERVICES FROM W & J KNOX
Workboat Services
Knox Marine was established in June 2008 to offer a workboat
support service to customers both existing and new. We are also
able to quote for all mooring components, e.g. anchors, chains,
ropes, buoys and shackles.
The Marine division is headed up by Dave Hutchens, who brings a
wealth of knowledge to the business having worked his way
through the aquaculture industry over the last 30 years at site
management and operational management level.
The business has taken on the services of AG Salmon and Co Ltd,
Naval Architects, to design a new workboat. The 20m x 7.5m
vessel will be equipped with a large deck crane and winches to
enable it to perform a wide range of tasks.
In the meantime, check the availability of our charter vessels.
