SLOVENIAN ARMY OUTLINE STRUCTURE
Notes:
(1) The Force Command directly commands 1 x Special Forces Group, 1
x Military Police Bn, 1 x Recce Bn, 1 x Communications Bn and the
Naval Detachment.
(2) The 20th Mechanised Infantry Battalion from the 1st Brigade is
the Slovenian contribution to the Multinational Land Force (MLF).
With contributions from Italy, Slovenia and Hungary the MLF consists
of a light infantry brigade at high readiness. MLF HQ is at Udine in
Italy.
(3) In the main Slovenian reserves consist of 6 x Infantry
Battalions, 2 x Artillery Battalions, possibly 1 x Tank Battalion, 1
x Air Defence Battalion and 1 x Reconnaissance Battalion.
(4) Slovenia provides a contingent to the EU Balkan Battlegroup with
other contingents from Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Romania.
