Notes:
(1) Police personnel strength is approximately 460
(2) There is no Navy and no Air Force although for legal purposes, the 17 x E-3A Sentry aircraft of the NATO Airborne Early Warning Force are registered in Luxembourg as are the 3 x Boeing 707 TCA.
(3) Luxembourg provides a small contingent to the EU French-German Battlegroup. Other contributors are Spain and Belgium.

Luxembourg Army outline structure

The Light Infantry Battalion consists of the following company groups:

Luxembourg Eurocorps Reconnaissance Company

This company provides the Luxembourg contingent to the Eurocorps and is generally under the command of the Belgian Land Component with:

2 x reconnaissance platoons
1 x anti-tank platoon
1 x forward air control team
1 x logistic support platoon

Luxembourg NATO Reconnaissance Company

This company provides the Luxembourg contingent to the NATO pool of deployable forces with:

2 x reconnaissance platoons
1 x anti-tank platoon
1 x forward air control team
1 x logistic support platoon

Headquarters Company

Providing administrative and logistic support across the whole battalion structure.

The Military Training Centre has an Education and Instruction Company that provides both basic training and educational courses for military career advancement.
